Anderson County – donated initial capital to start the project.
Town of Pelzer – gave the rights to renovate the building and providing a 10-yr lease when finished, donated equipment when needed
Melida Ehlen, LEED AP – donated her time and expertise as an Architect drawing the plans and working with Barry Holcombe at the Anderson County Building & Codes Department
David Altman, Owner and James Truesdale, Vice President of Construction Services of Green Earth – donated thousands of dollars worth of their time and license as the General Contractor, picked up the permit from Anderson County, provided on-hand help with several phases
Mark Nichols, President & Owner of Taylors Windows – donating the custom windows at cost
Rusty Burns, Interim Anderson County Administrator – personally got involved with the project, assisting in obtaining a donated permit and helped accelerate the permit process
Mike Phillips, Owner of Ace Environmental – donated a 30-yard dumpster at no cost
SGS Contactors – foundation and termite repair at 1/3 of the price, reconstructing the entire back section of the building
The Wherry Family Foundation – Donated $3,300 for the purchase of 6 custom doors due to odd sizing of historic rough cut lumber
84 Lumber, Anderson – donated all the lumber at cost
Crescent Supply – At cost donation of all electrical materials
Plumbcraft Services – 100% donation of entire plumbing job
David Smith – 100% donation of entire roughed in electrical work
Ferguson Plumbing Supply – 100% donation of ADA toilet and two sinks; at cost donation of hot water heater and ADA drinking fountain
Harold Kay (KACO Roofing), roofer – donated 75% of the roofing labor costs
ABC Supply – facilitated the donation of shingles from Certainteed; donated all the siding materials at cost
Tucker Materials – 100% donation of sheetrock for entire project
Jimmy Jeanes Signs – donated the FOP Project Sign for the cost of the materials
Joretta Cooper Black – donated one room worth of sheet rock installation during our “Sheet Rock Drive” in memory of the Cooper Family
Individual volunteers – Lionel Curtis, Mitchell Graddy, Larry Shadoan, Matthew Smith, Greg Fornash, Margo Cline, Mayor Kenneth Davis, Janet & Harry Marchant III
Harry W. Marchant, Director of FOP – donates work as a volunteer director coordinating all aspects of the job, has provided his physical labor during the interior demolition, footer digging and flooring phases.
