P2080007WE DID IT!!!  We passed the final inspection with Anderson Building & Codes and now have a Certificate of Occupancy for 100 Courtney Street!  Now we will put the building up for rent, bringing another business and hopefully a few new jobs to Pelzer.  Thank you to all who have contributed either time, materials or funding!

The Brownsfields Grant process has been completed for the Upper and Lower Mills and also the old landfill site on the Saluda River.  Due to the fire at the Lower Mill there may be a few more tests needed to determine the extent of the contaminants.  We hope to move forward and try to encourage investors to help revitalize our community.

With the concerted efforts of Gail Rawls Jeter from CTC and the EPA,  we have received up to $200,000 more in grant money from the EPA to assess the potential contaminants from the old land fill site by the Saluda River in Pelzer.  This will help us move forward toward our vision of a 28-acre water front park from Hwy. 20, wrapping under the railroad bridge and extending to the Anderson County owned boat loading area on Capers Street.  Thank you Gail and the EPA!!

Please help revitalize our community with your 100% tax-deductible donation today. All donations are used to benefit the Town of Pelzer.

Thank you for your support
